for almost 3 weeks...i've learned so many things about TLE!.

algorithm,program development cycle,FLOWCHARTING!.etc.

first, let me discuss the algorithm and the others will follow...

ALGORITHM-A step-by-step problem-solving procedure, especially an established, recursive computational procedure for solving a problem in a finite number of steps.

THE PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT CYCLE

5 MAIN CYCLES:

1.REVIEW OF PROGRAMMING SPECIFICATIONS:

Consedirations:

a. Input Specifications- the given data.
b. Output Specifications
c. File Specifications
d. Process Specifications

2. PROGRAM DESIGN

3. PROGRAM CODING

5 Main Types:

a. Review of the Program
b. Entering the Program
c. Saving the Program
d. Executing the Program
e. Interpreting/Compiling the Program

2 Methods Used to Convert a program to Machine Language:

i. Interpreter- is a program that must be placed in main memory prior to loading the program to be executed.
ii. Compiler- is a program that creates an independent, executable file of program to be executed.

4. Program Testing

a. Desk Checking
b. Encoding
c. Generation of error list

5. Program Documentation

FLOWCHARTING- Flowcharting is a tool for analysing processes. It allows you to break any process down into individual events or activities and to display these in shorthand form showing the logical relationships between them. Constructing flowcharts promotes better understanding of processes, and better understanding of processes is a pre-requisite for improvement.

..so that's the interesting lessons of TLE last 3 weeks!.i can't wait for the next topic!.
